BIOGRAPHY

Russel Frank, wardrobe fashion stylist, love and passion for the industry started as being a Visual Merchandise Manager.  From dressing mannequins, window displays, to creating a story with apparel in a retail environment.

Russel has been styling since working as a visual merchandiser for retail stores. Some say dressing mannequins is considered a stylist.  Never following what the “corporate” office set up for directions for stores to implement, is what set Russel apart from other retail visual merchandisers.

‘Their styling was too simple, for the mannequins. Sometimes the mannequins wouldn’t even have cohesive looks. I did my own thing, and never got negative feedback for it.’

Attended Art Institute of Phoenix, majored in Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Marketing of January 2009.  His first “real industry” related experience, working with Phoenix Fashion Week January 2010, as a Stylist on their Style Team. Networking with industry contacts, he then branched out to independently produce fashion show events in the night life scene in the metropolitan area of Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona. As a freelance wardrobe stylist, he began to dabble into styling photo shoots, runway shows, and publications.  Fall of December 2011, Russel had graduated with his degree.

Shortly thereafter, Russel had relocated to Las Vegas, and not following the crowd to move to LA, to continue his career in the fashion industry.  He quickly jumped on board to join the production team of August 2012, where he started off as the Intern and Volunteer Coordinator.  Now holds the position as the Fashion Week Las Vegas Runway and Stylist Director, where his eye for casting and scouting models have been recognized for industry professionals throughout Las Vegas.

In August 2015, Russel has since then left FWLV leaving him a void without a consistent project to occupy his time.  After talking with his team and assistant, he has found himself where event production is his calling.  From runway shows, galas coordinating, tv production.  He has been involved with Vegas Cut + Sew, Parlay Magazine, Parlay TV, Parlay Magazine Events, and Global Beauty Masters.

Currently residing in the great Sin City Las Vegas, Nevada, outside of events and projects, Russel continues his independent freelance wardrobe styling career.  With ranges from styling photo shoots for male and female models, working along with fellow talented artist for publications, magazines, campaigns, and even video productions. With a few celebrity styling opportunities under his fashion forward belt, his sense of styling ranges from menswear, womenswear, high fashion, editorial, couture, avant – garde, to simple chic, bold, mixing patterns and prints.  Publications ranges from local to mass production, online to print, and national and international publications.  Russel has been featured artist as a wardrobe stylist for multiple press sites, blogs, magazine, and online features.
