Since the launch of my freelance styling with my website, my first referral came from working with the team at Battle of the Strands ( will be switched over to Global Beauty Master December 2nd airing on Discovery Health & Beauty). I was contact by Mina, owner of BOTS. I worked with assisting and overseeing the wardrobe from different designers I was able to pull for The Battle of The Strands. Fashion Publicist, Madelin B. She is a former fashion publicist for multiple fashion publications such as People Latina, Cosmo Latina, Elle Latina. She reached out to me to help her with an event she was organizing for the Latin Grammys on that Wednesday November 19th. She had a few designers who flew into town, from gowns, to jewelry. For this event, she also needed a few models, preferred to be Hispanic or have brunett hair. With my affiliation from Fashion Week Las Vegas, I have a hand full of models in my library of contacts. I always try to keep them close to me and projects, whenever they may come up.

With this project, I worked with Madelin to help organize the event. This was more of a private showing of designer looks, where press, media, and other wardrobe stylist were invited to attend these private suites. The event was taken place at The Signature, MGM Grand. I wasn’t able to attend the event and actually work it, due to other obligations. I was, however, able to work with Madelin and provide my input for the event. Again, with my experience working with multiple fashion weeks, and fashion events, assisting her with my suggestions of how the set up should go, which model I would like to see wear what garments, and how to position the models and the step & repeat banner for photo opportunities.

After the event, I was able to touch base with the girls and Madelin. All parties were happy, the designers were pleased with my input. I do regret not being able to attend the show / event. After all, it was a great way for me to network in person with fellow stylist, especially making connections with people from another state. None the less, I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to do another fashion related event.
